我們將參觀以下地點：

  1. NEWater Visitor Centre -- 了解新加坡的再生水技術，看看如何將污水經處理後，變成可飲用的食水！

  2. Tuas South Incineration Plant -- 看看新加坡為什麼沒有堆填區？

  3. Crocodile Farm -- 野生鱷魚 VS 養殖鱷魚

  4. National University of Singapore(NUS) -- 和大學的綠色組織Student Against Violation of the Earth進行交流

 

當然，我們還會探訪新加坡其他旅遊景點！行程精彩，萬勿錯過！

Singapore Green Tour

 

Greenwoods is organizing a four-day Green Singapore Study Tour from 10th Jan, 2012 to 13th Jan, 2012.

 

We will visit:

  1. NEWater Visitor Centre -- to know more about reclaimed water technology in Singapore.

  2. Singapore Crocodile Farm – wild crocodile vs breed crocodile

  3. Tuas South Incineration Plant – to see why there are no landfills in Singapore

  4. National University of Singapore – have sharing with NUS students (from a green group called “Student Against Violation of the Earth”)

 

Of course, we will visit other tourist spots in Singapore!

Date: 10th to 13th January 2012

Total fee: HKD $3850 (insurance, air tickets, accommodation and part of the meals included)

舍際節能比賽

Inter-hall Energy Saving Competition

 

香港大學舍際節能比賽在２０１２年２月１日正式開始了！

 

香港大學舍際節能比賽是由香港大學學生會常綠林及香港大學可持續發展事務處聯合舉辦的活動。活動旨在宣揚節能的重要性以及鼓勵宿生將節能習慣融入生活當中。

 

比賽有１３所港大舍堂、約４０００名宿生參加。人均能源使用量最低的舍堂三所會勝出比賽。

其實節能並不困難。每個人都可以從改變生活習慣中節能。

例如只要開風扇代空調一整天，便可以節省$21及15.9kWh。

節能由習慣開始！習慣上的少許改變，不但可以節能省錢，更可以減少二氧化碳排放、為未來創造更舒適的環境！

 

比賽會在３月３１日結束。相信宿生必定會在比賽期間積極利用各種方法為港大節能！

HKU Inter-hall Energy Saving Competition has launched on 1/2/2012!It is an initiative developed and jointly organized by Greenwoods, HKUSU and theHKU Sustainability Office. We aim to promote the importance of energy saving andencourage hall residents to incorporate energy-saving ideas into their daily lives.

 

There are 13 HKU halls participating in the competition, involving about 4000 hallresidents. 3 halls getting the least energy consumption per capita will win the competition.

 

Reducing energy consumption is not a difficult task. Every one of us can reduceenergy consumption with a little change in our habits.If you use electric fan instead of air-conditioner for a whole day, you will save15.9kWh and HKD$21.So “Take Action。Save Energy” by changing your habits now! The competition will last from now until the end of March 2012.

與玻璃有個約會   A Date with Glass

 

一星期五天在港大上課，住hall的你更幾乎天天困在薄扶林！你有多久沒有與其他大學的朋友外出？你又有多久沒有呼吸過鬧市外的新鮮空氣？環保風氣日盛，人人也講環保的時候，你又有否真正了解香港的回收工業？現在，常綠林誠意邀請您與中大和城大的同學一同到粉嶺參觀玻璃回收工廠。當回收工業在香港愈漸發展的同時，我們將會帶你了解香港環保工業的實況。你會看到玻璃回收的部分製作過程，負責人亦將會講解香港回收工業遇到的困難。除此之外，參加者亦可自行繪出一個獨一無二的玻璃瓶。同學更可把握這次機會，擴闊社交圈子，認識對環保有熱誠的朋友！

A Date with GLASS How long haven't you hung out with your buddies from other universities? How long haven't you taken a fresh breath outside this hustling city? Do you feel like you are trapped in Pokfulam especially if you live in halls. Do you know about our recycling industry enough? Here comes the opportunity for all of you. You are cordially invited to visit Glass-Recycling Factory with your counterparts from CITYU and CU in FanLing. You will get a more insight into the condition of Hong Kong's recycling industry and get familiar with the manufacturing process about glass recycling while the owner of the factory will give you a full description of all the obstacles they face. Moreover, there will be a DIY session for you to design your own unique glass bottles which is a good way to show your creativity and imagination. Also, you can take this opportunity to widen your social network by making friends with the same passion in green.

農場齊齊體驗營

Green Camp in the Farm

 

剛剛入到大學的你是否期待認識不同學科的朋友？鍾情環保的你是否想結識一幫志同道合的好友？香港環保風氣日盛，人與自然的和諧相處越來越被人們重視。整天被鋼筋鐵骨包圍的你是否期待衝破重圍與大自然的一次親密接觸？

 

現在，常綠林誠意邀請您參加農場齊齊樂體驗營。我們會去參觀全港唯一的牧羊場——羊咩咩樂園以及有機士多啤梨園。在羊咩咩樂園你可以懷抱羊仔餵奶，體驗自然的溫情。我們會悉心講解羊仔的飼養和生活過程，同時你也可以瞭解到自然環保再生的沼氣池的運作模式。在士多啤梨園你可以自己親身耕作。見慣了超級市場玲瑯滿目的商品，你可以親自見到有機的蔬菜水果是如何生長，你可以感受到原來香港也可以發展有機農業。同學更可把握這次機會，擴闊社交圈子，認識對環保有熱誠的朋友！

You are cordially invited to join the green camp organized by Greenwoods HKUSU. You will visit the only farm which breeds sheep and the organic strawberry farm. You can feed the sheep by yourself and work on the farm. The guide will educate you about how the sheep grow and how the methane tank is built. Moreover, you can take this opportunity to widen your social network by making friends with the same passion in green.

綠色士多   Green Stall

 

又到了一年一度常綠林舉辦綠色士多的時候。每一年常綠林都會售賣一些綠色產品來向港大的師生宣傳環保產品和推廣綠色消費的理念。前幾年，我們曾向大家推出過環保文具，有機小食，小盆栽等。今年在往年的基礎上，我們還將推出由回收食油再造的肥皂以及再造的A4打印紙。喜歡綠色生活的您又怎麼能夠錯過。

 

活動詳情如下：

目的：推廣環保產品和提高參加者的環保意識

日期：15 / 10 – 26 / 10 (閱讀周前兩個星期)

時間：12:00a.m.－5:00p.m.

地點：15/10 16/10兩日參與Union festival 在中山廣場，其後將在邵逸夫平臺，大學書店對面

 

究竟什麼是綠色消費？綠色消費即是指購買產品前要先考量是否真正需要買，而選購產品時就要考量產品在生產過程、使用過程及棄置過程中對環境造成的影響，從而選擇更環保的產品。綠色士多所售賣的環保文具、再造肥皂，正是符合環保原則的產品；齊來支持綠色消費吧！

 

Every year, Greenwoods, HKUSU holds a “Green Stall”, at which eco-friendly products, such as eco-friendly stationery, organic snacks and plants are sold, so as to promote the concept of “Green Buying” to all HKU staff and students. And this year, we will hold the “Green Stall” before reading week. Don’t miss it if you love green! The details are as follows,

 

Objectives: To promote green products and raise the awareness of environmental protection of HKU staff and students

Opening Dates: 15/10 – 26/10

Opening Hours: 12:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.

Venue: Run Run Shaw Podium

 

What is “Green Buying”? “Green Buying” means that before buying, we need to think thoroughly whether it is necessary or not, and when choosing which product to buy, we need to evaluate the damage/impacts on the environment caused by the production, consumption and disposal of the products; and choose products which are more eco-friendly. Products sold at our “Green Stall” are all eco-friendly.
